The archetypes collection explores the spiritual connection between soccer and its fans. This collection merges religious motifs and elements of soccer sportswear, focusing on the soccer jacket. Parallels will be drawn that link soccer and religious symbolism focusing on women’s fashion to honour women’s soccer that most of the time is lacking in getting media affection.
The collection is mostly outerwear, but with some feminine staple pieces made to wear on the street as well for special occasions. Most of the jackets from this collection are inspired by the soccer jacket. Smocked details are creating shapes and silhouettes, adding a nod to the traditional craftsmanship. Festive embroidered patterns are playing with the holiday motifs in bold colours, but a touch of nostalgia, a modern ugly Christmas sweater with details that are usually not associated with Christmas. The line is very playful with a bit sense of humour, making fun of the seriousness of soccer fans. Interpreting a new world that combines all of those traditional archetypes.
